If it’s on wheels, it can be insured!

We have a variety of insurance packages for different kinds of vehicles, whether you’ve got a camper on the road or a new teen driver in your house.

The right auto insurance policy can help get you back on the road quickly if your car is damaged or destroyed by an accident, fire, theft, or other event covered by your insurance policy. Your policy may also provide protection against medical and legal expenses resulting from injury, loss of life, or property damage caused by an accident involving your vehicle.

An auto insurance policy is a contract between you and an insurance company. You pay a premium and in exchange, the insurance company promises to pay for specific car-related financial losses during the term of the policy. We can help you determine the best coverage for your needs.

What kind of auto insurance do I need?

There are several types of coverage and combinations of coverage, it is easy to get confused.  Typically, your policy will include some combination of comprehensive, collision, medical, liability and uninsured motorist coverage.

Let's look at what each type of insurance actually covers:

auto insurance
  • Liability

pays for the damage you cause to others if your car is involved in an accident. It also protects you from being wiped out financially if you are sued following an accident.

  • No-fault

coverage to pay you and your passengers for medical and related expenses caused by injuries from a car accident, regardless of who is at fault.

  • Collision

covers damage to your car from an accident. Standard collision coverage will pay for any repairs up to the fair market value of your car. Collision coverage usually also comes with an insurance deductible.

  • Comprehensive coverage

pays for your car if it is stolen, vandalized or damaged in some way other than in a collision.  Flood, hurricane, theft, windshield damage and fire are also events usually covered by comprehensive car insurance. Like collision, comprehensive will pay up to the fair market value of your car (less your insurance deductible.)

  • Medical

coverage provides for medical expenses to you and your passengers that are the result of an accident.

How much auto insurance do I need?

Every person is unique. To determine your car insurance needs, our team of insurance professionals consider many factors.

What do you use your car for?

The way you use your car may make a difference in the amount of medical coverage you need. For example, we might suggest more Medical coverage for a parent who regularly takes a carload of kids to soccer practice than for a driver who expects to drive mostly alone.

Are you financing the vehicle?

Although it’s not legally required by any state, comprehensive coverage is usually required to finance a car, along with collusion insurance.

How much do you want to pay per month?

Lower monthly payments usually come with a higher deductible, which is the amount you'll have to pay before you insurance kicks in.

What other assets do you have?

The greater your assets, the more you stand to lose. If you have substantial financial resources, you may even need additional coverage, such as an umbrella policy.

What is the value of your vehicle?

Intelli Choice Insurance can help you decide whether or not to carry collision coverage by balancing the cost of collision insurance with the value of your car. It might not be worth paying $200 a year for collision insurance on a car that's worth only $1,000. But if the car is worth $10,000, you probably want this coverage.

What state do you live in?

Auto insurance requirements vary by state.  Depending on where you live you may need liability coverage, no-fault coverage, or both. Just because your state doesn't "require coverage" doesn't mean you can go without.  By law drivers must be able to pay for losses they cause others. Having insurance is the simplest way for most people to comply.
